If you’ve found your way to this page, you’ve probably already seen some of my paintings, so I thought I’d tell you a little about the person behind them and how all of this started.

I started painting in 2020, completely self-taught. No art school or formal training, just a love for beautiful imagery, a lot of curiosity and a determination to figure out how to turn what I saw in my head into paint.

My love for portraiture really grew from my love of photography. I’ve always been drawn to interesting faces, beautiful compositions and those small moments an image can capture: an expression, the movement of fabric, an unusual pose or the way light falls across someone’s face.

And then there’s light and shadow. I’m slightly obsessed with it. I love how light can completely change the mood of a painting, revealing one part of a face while another disappears into shadow.

You’ll also notice that I paint a lot of women. I’m fascinated by the many sides of femininity: softness and strength, vulnerability and confidence, elegance and defiance. I’m less interested in perfection and much more interested in presence, emotion and creating something that makes you want to look a little longer.

Six years later, I’m still learning, experimenting and getting excited when an idea suddenly clicks and I think, I have to paint that.
